RUTH GREEN FOUNDER OF RUTH GREEN NUTRITION QUALIFIED NUTRITIONAL SCIENTIST, THERAPIST, WELLNESS COACH AND NLP PRACTITIONER

Ruth Green achieved a BSc degree with honours in Nutritional Science from Middlesex University. Ruth’s third year dissertation was awarded a first class due to her extensive evidence based research connecting and discussing the link between allergy and intestinal health. Ruth then continued her academic study and progressed to achieve a Nutritional Therapy Practise Diploma at the Centre for Nutrition Education and Lifestyle Management. Ruth furthered her study and achieved certification in applying Functional Medicine in clinical practise allowing her to deepen her clinical understanding and practical application of the Functional Medicine Model.

 

Ruth is a highly experienced and knowledgeable Pilates instructor. From a young age Ruth studied ballet, tap, modern and contemporary dance. Combining her passion for dance and movement with Pilates enabled Ruth to gain her qualification as a registered specialist Pilates instructor. Her extensive study includes qualifications in basic, intermediate and advanced mat pilates, pre and postnatal exercise, small equipment and orthopaedic conditions. Ruth is a member of the registered exercise professionals.


Ruth Green is the South Oxfordshire regional coordinator for BANT and coordinates regular meetings with local members to support practitioners with their work.   Ruth has always been a keen cook and understood the importance of healthy eating from a young age. Ruth’s mother developed a non coeliac gluten sensitivity during Ruth’s childhood which meant the family significantly changed their eating habits

 

A fascination between diet and health emerged for Ruth, which continued to grow stronger. As a keen cook Ruth studied food economics at GCSE and A level standard before progressing on to her degree in Nutritional Science.  Ruth’s interest in Nutrition developed further when both her children were diagnosed with severe food allergies. At the time there was very little ‘free from’ convenience food available that meant Ruth had to experiment with different foods and recipes

 

As a mother of two young children with food allergies and intolerances Ruth has first hand knowledge of the difficulties that can occur and wants to promote an awareness of food allergies and intolerances. Her key areas of clinical focus include gastro intestinal health, autoimmunity, food allergies/ intolerances and longevity.   Ruth is passionate about food, nutrition, fitness and wellbeing and is a firm believer that supporting the body through nutrition and lifestyle does not have to mean compromising on taste or enjoyment

 

Ruth Green is a member of the British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy ( BANT) which is the professional recognised body for Nutritional Therapists, the complementary and Natural Health Care Council (CNHC) which protects the public with an expected code of conduct, ethics and performance for registered complementary practitioners as well as being a qualified wellness and NLP practitioner
